StudioLab xR is New Media Manitoba's latest  addition to the Province's tech and innovation landscape. This 5550sqft facility’s mandate is to support workforce development and innovation in emerging fields of Extended Reality(xR).
Advances in real-time technologies are making the impossible possible and opening up incredible new opportunities in both creative and technical fields.  

StudioLab xR 's virtual production stage is designed to provide the technology and expertise needed for production companies and film-makers needed to bring their creative visions to life.

StudioLab xR will feature industry leading tools and expertise designed around project
based learning to accelerate both training and THE commercialization of products.

  • Rokoko v2 motion capture

  • Image Based Lighting with Kinoflo Mimik 120

  • Unreal Display Nodes  A6000 GPUs x 3

  • Full Training Classroom featuring 3090 and 4080 GPU Builds

  • Secondary portable LED Wall 5ft feet wide by 2 feet

  • HTC Mars Vive (camera tracking)
